When I went out to shoot tone I switched my camera's picture style to monochrome, so it would take photos in black & white(gray-scale).  I did this to created greater contrast and emphasis in the tones of the photos that I took.

I think this is one of the best photos I took, I really like the varying tones and contrast throughout the photo between all the different components like the reflections in the glass and the metal bars going across the building.

This is another photo I think is really good with the high tonal contrast between the white & the black.

I'm not entirely sure what I could do to improve upon my work if I was to go out and shoot tone again except possibly try out different angles of things I have already looked at.

Dictionary Definition:
- The particular quality of brightness, deepness, or hue of a shade of a colour.
- A slight degree of difference in the intensity of a colour.

1) This photo portrays tone well with the contrast between the windows and walls.

2) I think this photo shows tone really well with the different tones and contrasts on each side of the tomato.

3) These two photos show tone really well, but I think if they were colour photos it would not be as effective.

- The brightness or hue of a colour.

1) This image I find really interesting as the water shows the tones slightly distorted and the open sky creates a stunning effect with the tones.

 2) This photo shows tone really well with both the sky and the grass, the sky consists of a range of tone creating contrast between them.

3) This third photo I like as the water and the sky both have a very nice similar effect to them and then the strip of land with the trees and buildings going through the middle give something to look at and focus on.

4) This photo shows tone really effectively with contrast between the building, the grass and the trees.

5) These next two photographs work really well in black & white and I feel that if they were colour they would not be as effective because the tones would not have as much emphasis.

6) This photo portrays tone well using natural object in this case a tree.  There are a few different tones on the tree and the grass due to the trees shadow and the general lighting of the photo.
