Multiple Imagery - Image Bank

All of these images show multiple imagery, it involves taking a series of photos of the same or similar things and putting them together with little or no attempt at reconstruction.  It provides a semi weird view of the things that the photos are of as this is not how you would normally see something.  The last one is pretty cool as if you look closer it actually provides a sense of time almost as it is photos of a pocket watch and the time differs in the last photo when compare to the rest.  I think that the first multiple imagery is the best out of these six and could have a deeper meaning; by providing a broken and fragmented view of the girl it could be trying ti imply that she is broken/fragment emotionally and/or physically.

Mapplethorpe - Image Bank

Robert Mapplethorpe is most famous for his black and white portraiture and all of his work utilises the entire frame really well even when his compositions differ from the norm there is no wasted space.

Contrast - Image Bank

The above pictures all show contrast in a number of ways, through a variety of formal elements like colour, tone and texture in the case of the sand dune (smooth and bumpy), but some of them show contrast in a more conceptual way like the m&m in the coffee beans.  the coffee beans are natural where as the m&m is a mass produced man-made product, the two are pretty much polar opposites.  I think that the last one is the best one and I really like the contrast between the water droplets and the black and white petals of the flower.

Portraiture - Image Bank

These first three images are portraits that focus on the subject rather than the background, containing either no background or a plain un-blurred one.

These next three photographs feature a proper background that has been blur slightly the subject takes up less of the frame but is the only thing properly in focus.

Photojoiner - Image Bank

 1) These first three photo joiners are all landscapes of buildings, I like this first one as not all of the photos have been taken at the same angle but they still fit together well.  The second one I'm not sure whether it is actually a photo joiner or not.

 4) I think this one is really good as it is clear that it's a photo joiner as the different exposure and contrast levels are clearly visibly and there are some points where parts of birds are missing.

5) This next one only has a hand full of photos in it but still works well even though some of them don't quite line up properly.

 6) This next one is works effectively and offers a stretched viewing angle of the office and desk.

Texture - Image Bank

All of these photos show different texture through the use of lighting to create shadows and highlights.  This allows the viewer to visualise the texture of the different objects.

Shape - Image Bank

1) These first two photos clearly shows shape in the form of circles repeated over and over again.

2) This photo shows shape in several forms with both triangles, hexagons and a octagon.

3) This photo shows shape through the use of squares, rectangles and triangles.

4) This photo shows shape well with a curved array of triangles so they are seen from different angles.

5) This photo shows shape well through the use of the frosted fence.

Reflection - Image Bank

1) I find this photo really cool as if you were to crop out the spray of water it would be difficult to tell which part was the real person.

2) I Really like this photo as it shows the reflections of the people but only their shoes are actually there.

3) I really like this photo as the bubble provides a slightly distorted image and a offset colour palette.

4) I like this photo as it is really simple but effective with a really clear reflection in the lens of the sunglasses.

5) I like these last two as they offer really clear reflections in the water one being a puddle the other a canal.

Movement - Image Bank

1) I think this photo shows movement well through the use of a dancer.  I like the way the image isn't really blurred it is just her overlapped several times in afferent positions.

2) This photo is pretty good, I like the way that there is one humming bird still and another one blurred.

3) This next photo show an road crossing and the cars are moving and have blurred.

4) I think this next photo is cool as the two subjects the cat and the mouse are not really that blurred but the background is.

5) I think this photo is really cool with the buses blurring towards the centre on either side of the image.

6) This  photo is really cool with like the Ferris wheel of lights blurring round and round and round and it just looks really cool.
